What types of injuries do athletic therapists treat?

Athletic therapy aims not only to reduce pain and restore function but also to provide you with peace of mind. Our therapists will work to alleviate your pain or get you active again as quickly as possible. They will explain your injury in a way that is easy to understand, including the nature of the injury, how it occurred, and crucially, how to prevent future occurrences.
If you can find your injury or problem in the list, we are confident that our treatment will be beneficial for you. In fact, we offer a Help Guarantee: If after 3 treatments, you are not convinced that athletic therapy has eased your pain or reduced your problem, we will personally refund your payment.
Our services are covered by the majority of private insurance providers. To ensure that we can offer you the most accessible care possible, we can provide either a naturopath or athletic therapy insurance slip.
How much discomfort will I experience during my treatment?
Athletic therapy is a physical experience, and some treatments may cause temporary discomfort. However, our goal is to be as gentle as possible and minimize any discomfort while effectively resolving your problem. Before performing any techniques, we will inform you about what to expect, including whether it is likely to cause any discomfort and for how long.
In most cases, any discomfort experienced during the treatment subsides quickly. You are always in control, and if you feel that the discomfort is too much, you can let us know, and we will adjust accordingly. As the treatment progresses, the discomfort usually diminishes. We will also provide guidance on using ice and heat to alleviate any soreness that may arise from the treatment.
To ensure your comfort during the session, consider the location of your injured body part. For instance, if you have a lower back injury, wearing shorts and a loose vest would be ideal. If you're dealing with a shoulder injury, a vest would be appropriate.
It's important to note that you do not have to remove all of your clothing. Under no circumstances will you be asked to do so. Our therapists strive to keep clothing removal to a minimum, and we will never ask you to remove an item of clothing that would completely expose a large area of your body. If necessary, we may ask you to remove an arm from your top to examine the shoulder region. However, the decision to remove an item of clothing completely is entirely up to you.
We believe that you deserve a body that is fully functional. We know what it is like to be injured, which has led to our success in helping thousands of people get back to their active lives.
This is how we do it:
- Tell us your story
- Get your customized plan.
- Start feeling better.
- Conquer your goals.

I came to Mario with a lower back problem that I have has for over 15 years. What I liked is not only he treated me but also gave me an excercise and health plan to follow that would help me keep my muscles fired up. The plan adjusted as my body adjusted to the treatments.
Today I feel 100% better and he has motivated me to continue working on my body to avoid regressing.
In the past 15 years I have tried all types of treatments, Physio, Chiro, accupuncture and more, Mario's process has been the best by far.
I highly recommend Mario. I had lost feeling in my arm and within 3 sessions, I got the feeling back! He was patient, empathetic, and more importantly, highly effective. In addition, he would do follow ups to ensure I was ok and keeping up with my exercises. I will definitely be going back to fix some other issues I've been having that's for SURE! Thank you again Mario.
I highly recommend Mario Starnino at Neuro Health Performance. He listens attentively and then applies pressure/ massage effectively to alleviate pain and discomfort. With 3 sessions, I no longer have any discomfort on my shoulder and arm. I especially appreciated the exercises that Mario recommended as well as his emails to check on my progress. Thank you for your services!
I dealt with a severe concussion for 3 months, saw 3 different doctors and 2 Physiotherapists before finding Mario. He was extremely knowledgeable of the latest science and recommended protocols based on my unique symptoms, which had very positive results. Although my concussion recovery was difficult, it was made much smoother and quicker because of Mario's help. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with a concussion or other sports injuries.
